Thanksgiving is less than 2 weeks away, so I thought I would just relive the glory of last year repost last year's Thanksgiving post for those who are wondering what to do with their turkey this year.

I've been away from blogging for a while but now I'm back and looking forward to getting some great ideas for Thanksgiving! I'll have to check out your turkey recipes. :D

Can I do it with whisky if I don't have brandy?
Jess: Whiskey will work just fine, but your results will be a bit smoky instead of sweet. Brandy, cognac, and armagnac all have higher sugar contents, hence a sweeter finish to the meat, which I like to offset the salty bacon drippings.
This would also be delicious substituting tawny port.
